Overall extremely happy with the price to performance here and plan on using this for a few years to come in my main computer.
I paired it with the ryzen 5 1600 af and it works like a charm.
***update 1/21***it's been nearly a year (since feb 2020) with the settings below and i've not had a single crash.

Well worth the buy at a sub 300 price range.
I did not install any of the overclocking software.
This one fit the bill and i have never had issues with evga cards.

For cad well they say gaming cards cant do anything for cad work but i can say that it is a noticeable improvement manipulating assemblies

Playing something like elder scrolls oblivion on max settings does not even push this card enough to spin up the fans

One negative to consider before purchase nvidia cards require a monitor or tv with gsync compatibility to get the vsync and that will add about 100 to the price of the monitor or tv over what a freesync monitor or tv costs so keep that in mind maybe an amdradeon graphics card is a better deal if you want to enable that feature

Plug and play be sure to plug monitor into the port on the graphics card not any other slot

It was a good card but it didnt have a hybrid cooling mode which would allow it to have its cooling fans shut off under low loads removing fan noise from the system
