Pros & Cons
Pros
Out performs a more expensive 1050ti because of the 256-bit memory bus. My roommate has a 970 and he's thinking about upgrading after seeing how mine performs. This just runs smoother than r9 290x 4gb.
Absolutely flawless product. Praise is very well deserved. This card is a winner through and through.
Nvidia geforce experience app automatically adjusts game settings to there optimal performance. At 1080, it runs pretty much everything at 60fps on ultra settings. Assassin's creed unity runs flawlessly @ above 60fps with fxaa and a solid 40+ with 4x ... Read More
There was no sag, and the card felt sturdy and well built. Great for gaming and i also use it for autocad and it performs amazing.
This card powers the vive with absolutely no issues. This card takes voltage like no one else. Easy to overclock to 1500 mhz(200-300 mhz over stock boost) using simple youtube guides and get a 1000 mhz increase memory overclock.
Cons
I am absolutely dumbfounded as to how somebody can mistake and mislabel something that horribly. At this point i'm certain that there product doesn't work simply because they are illiterate and can't read. Installed in secondary system with same issue... Read More

Price
What a time to buy…anyway, this card is great and i expect the price to drop in the upcoming weeks.
I would recommend this to anyone who has the budget to buy this card.
0cons:price $1100 for the pairunfortunately, i cannot fault anyone but myself for this one.
Pricey but it's quiet and it powers through even the highest grafical demands
Shipping
I received a promo code for a free game, but i received no game at all.
I purchased the day before the new two game promo started but a quick email to amazon and they honored the promo for me.
Shipping estimate was nearly two weeks but i got it in three business days, so that's a plus.
Packaging/appearance
It came wrapped in an anti static bag and several layers of bubble wrap.
Competitiveness
The msi 980 is probably the best one out of the bunch.
Msi has definitely got the best cooler out of all the other manufacturers.
No, because the price has dropped down to 500 bucks for this, and the r9 390 outperforms the 970.
I would recommend anyone looking at this to consider the 980ti when its available if they can afford it.

Textures and draw distance are limited by the 4 gb vram but in the current shortage it is just the ticket for a mid range gaming build

But for 1080p gaming this should have you gt 60 fps so unless you have a super high refresh monitor it will run current generation games like butter

The msi version of this card seems to run the most quiet of the 980s at least in my experience
