I bought this to be able to run dcs world in vr on my quest 3 and it runs is flawlessly on high settings.

Under regular work load gpu fans aren't even spinning.

Price

I don't really care about extreme fps and ray tracing so this is perfect for my needs, plus $1800+ for a 4090 is absolutely nuts.

In terms of price for performance, not so much.

Yes its probably overpriced but i waited long enough to upgrade and its still cheaper than getting a whole new system.

Competitiveness

This card actually beats the 3090ti by a little good amount.

It was intentionally hobbled by nvidia so not to compete with it's even more expensive brethren, so the bus bandwidth is extremely limited.

This card is quiet, performance is comparable to a rtx 3090ti .

That being said, performance generally comes close to an older 3080-3090.
