Definitely get desktop quality for this laptop.
Windows updates did some spooky stuff but that had nothing to do with the machine.

I cannot tell its a 1080p screen unless my eyeball is 2 inches away from the screen.
Competitiveness
There’s enough power to make the main display 4k but it’s got a 360hz refresh’s rate at 1080p.
I put a 1tb nvme p5 in the 2nd slot and it is working fine.

I did check some reviews online and found that there seems to be a complaint about the screen brightness when first setting things up

And the io is great has a thunderbolt 4 connection to connect a thunderbolt 4 hub and be able to use external gpus extend the dedicated graphics card to 2 full 4k monitors or 1 8k and hook up a 10gig network card

The msi control center is a little odd and is confusing to use to overclock anything but so far nothing needs to be

Battery is weak but based on the gear inside it makes sense needs power supply for full usage of the cpu and gpu but 17” laptops are generally too big to carry around on the go anyway

Yes colors are a little washed out and there is no hdr but that isnt the point when you are screaming at 360 frames per second

You also need a pick to pry the bottom off which has a whole bunch of plastic panel clips which im guessing can be broken easily
