Personally for me the benefits of nvidia greatly outweigh the slightly cheaper cost of the 580 at the time i was looking cryptomining hadnt shot the prices up

If you are in the same predicament as me choosing between the gtx1060 and 1070 i would strongly suggest paying more for the 1070

You can not really read a review on amazon to get an idea of whether the card is for you so i would advise going to a pc gaming website and looking at performance figures for the games you are interested in

I updated from a reference gtx 670 to this card and which the thickness of the card is near identical the card is much taller meaning it will not fit in many small cases
