It took some time but i think gs66 was by far the better bargain as well as bang for buck.
The gs66 model i got is an i7 10750h and a 2080 super.

The chassis is almost entirely metal which is very nice but i did notice a few spots in the corners that feel like small slightly sharp plastic pieces which are unfortunate but they arent sharp enough to cause any damage they just dont feel quite as refined as the rest of the chassis

Out of the box thermals tend to push pretty high under 100 artificially maxed out loads like prime95 and it hit 95c but it kept itself in check with some throttling and then changed from giving the processor 95wpl2 down to 65wpl1 which brought temps back into normal ranges of about 80c and then held there indefinitely

That being said loads like that are basically never seen in real world use so that means this is an absolute worst case scenario and anything short of a custom watercooled desktop can be hard pressed to handle well and the laptop did not have any errors or crashes and heat never got unreasonable on the keyboard or chassis

As for the gpu running furmark on it which is another torturous all out max load the laptop did even better with thermals sitting happily at around 70c and no thermal throttling measured

That being said the tdp of a maxq gpu is a small fraction of a desktop and this one draws 80w under max load vs my desktop running a full size 2080 super that draws 300w under the same load

This means performance will never be the same as a desktop but you make sacrifices for portability and this little laptop certainly is tiny

Be warned settings in here can totally brick your laptop and require rma to fix
