Cooling: out of the box, the cpu throttles at 95, but you can undervolt (enable in bios first) and it lowers it to a nice 89 while gaming.
Competitiveness
Xmp should work perfectly on any ram rated 2933mhz or lower.
I've been using the msi gs66 i7 2060 240hz model for about 4 months and here's what i have to say about it.
Basically works as advertised, great performance, not a huge form-factor.
:)update: i ended up repasting with kryonaut and applying new thermal pads.

I loved that the laptop could run all of the games that i threw at it with great aplomb however the deficit of this came when the fans kicked in to perform those tasks

One downside is the laptop flexes a bit so if using on your lap its hard to press the track pad to click

Workarounds to unlock the power limits on the razer usually require reflashing a custom bios and is somewhat risky as messing it up means it wont be covered under warranty so you could end up with a dead laptop
