Pros

Easy to put together with solid instructions. Has thunderbolt 3 built in, an actual functional implementation as well. Includes wi-fi 6, bt, 16 phase 90-amp pcb and extremely good for high end overclocking. Allows you to use usb-c hubs with vm's.

This one has connections for 2x8 pin 'cpu' as well as a 6 pin pci(gpu) connection at the bottom of the mobo. Bios is packed with adjustable settings and is easy to use.

Msi is a well-known brand in the pc gaming industry. This is the first time i've used this brand of motherboard. The processor is very powerful. The nvme/pci express slots will allegedly be future pci express 4.

Cons

This thing is big, bulky, and as heavy as my boat anchor. Overall disappointing from this brand.

The biggest thing is that the pci x16 slot is too low. Only supports 60 hz or 120 hz at 1080. It also has a fail set for memory oc(only other premium mobos have this) and 6 layers for memory overclocking. Overclocking can cause voltages to spike up to... Read More

This board is fantastic, the quality is much better than the previous stuff msi has been pumping out.

Even if you are an overclocker, the quality of this pcb and overclocking features are on par with ace and its 200$ cheaper.

Bought this about a month ago works well but i paid full price ($279) for it which is quite expensive.

Shipping

It is fast and makes gaming a pleasure.

Packing on the amazon shipping was a measly padded envelope.

Packaging/appearance

Turns out they were hidden in the 'overclocking' menu.

But you can't use the m2 or tsen 1 connectors for anything.

Competitiveness

Works well in an ncase m1 build.

Good value compared to other z490 boards.

I gave up and run a 1tb m2 and a 1tb ssd for crap.

Note please change your vcore or you will be pumping the full 1.
