Pros
The list goes on really, a lot of this didn't have to be included but it was and i'm grateful for it. The post image which you briefly see is not the most beautiful, but a matter of taste i guess. Overall, pleased with the motherboard.

Very poorly packed item. Gigabyte versions clamp onto the board with a thread much better but in that area only.

I recommend msi, as always five star products, the finish quality is satisfactory.

I liked the nvme retaining clip on the first slot - beats a screw and again, nice heat sink to spread the heat from the boot drive.
Competitiveness
Looks and build quality are solid, you can tell from the weight (it has a 6 layer pcb with 2oz copper).
I genuinely feel that this is the best ddr4 on the market for the z690 chipset, hands down.
The 4 nvme memory slots are just ridiculous to have also.
Firstly i am deducting two stars from value for money because of the cost.

The motherboard itself was easy to install however when i started my pc nothing was working as the usb it comes with is required to download the relevant drivers

The other software available was easy to find install and use and its given me a lot more information on my computer speeds temperature and fans etc

The mystic lights are fine nothing crazy but since the cpu air cooler blocks the mystic lights perhaps a water cooler would be more suitable if you want to show off the aesthetics

I tried lowering it to 2 dimms increasing the voltages lowering the speed but i couldnt only manage 3000mhz as everything else i tried wouldnt train

I was pretty annoyed as i thought it was the memory and i had just wasted a lot of money on samsung b die i couldnt use as advertised
