Msi mortar has a 6 layer pcb, and it makes for a very solid, flex free feel to the board. If you want to truly overclock your cpu, a z690 motherboard is a must.

Vrm temps look to be top of the heap for b660m motherboards. Great mobo for my needs. B660 works perfectly and it's cheaper. Best b660 mb for the price.

Bios is really easy to understand with a ton of features. Love the bios load screen logo. Make sure to use hdmi cable to go into bios settings.

Cons

Spent 9 hours painstakingly diagnosing the issue and just could not find the problem. Returned the motherboard and went with a different brand. I'm sure we just got a faulty one.

Quality

After making the right decision to return the asus board and purchasing this one, i am glad with the outcome.

Exact quality i have appreciated from msi over the past 15-20 years.

No cpu overclocking with the b660 chipset, however this motherboard does allow you to adjust the turbo limits and voltages.

It is a great mobo, but i was unfortunate that this very specific board has a compatibility issue with the powercolor rx 6650 xt.

Better vrm cooling & i can finally enable xmp without crashing.

I am on a wifi 6 router, but the speeds are at a abyssmal 100mb/s.
