I just bought this and planned to try it out on sweet georgia peaches to make peach jam

Seems to be fairly durable however there is an opening under the top pushing thing has all the plastic knobs and peach mush filled that up

I managed to get it all out after a great deal of rinsing but id consider it a design flaw if it cant be removed to clean

The first time i used the mandolin i used the safety holder

I was slicing turnip probably too hard for the mandolin and the holder tipped over and i cut my fingertip

You do have to cut your veggies into smaller pieces for them to fit in the dicingslicing chipping area but that is a wee adjustment to get used to
