Pros & Cons
Pros
The banjolele itself is really nicely made and so much fun to play. It is an instrument i enjoy sharing so others will want to order their own. We feel it was a great option to see if he really wants to go forward with playing a stringed instrument!
Take the back off this banjo for a much better, mellower tone. It is louder than a ukulele, even with the same strings. Intonation is a bit off but not to bad, strings need to be stretched before this will stay in tune.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of the wood and hardware and finishes are so impressive and i can't believe the price!
Very nice uke for the money, good craftsmanship.
The sound quality is very good, plays well, overall a great banjo!
I usually tune before i play, so i’ve never noticed a problem with the tuning falling flat.
Price
Doesn't seem cheaply made, but the price was perfect.
Packaging/appearance
I’m a beginner in the banjolele and this is great for starters.
Sounded great right out of the box, took me all of 5 minutes to set the bridge and tune it up.
Competitiveness
As a novice, i found the banjo difficult to tune.

This for some reason comes with a circle of wood just screwed on to the back which gives the overtones a strange intonation that sounds off even when the fundamentals are in tune
