Pros & Cons
Pros
Great quality, good tone, and the accessories that came with it are useful, especially the strap and tuner. Great for a beginner or intermediate player. My other banjos are handmade professional banjons. Great accessory for the price.
They are are slightly heavier than the light gauge strings most banjo players use. Triple c tuning lends a very dark and foreboding sound to this banjo.
Extras are nice for beginners. If a wrench is a little rusty, big deal. The craftsmanship is pretty decent for being so cheap.
I solved this by taking a terrycloth sweatband and pushing it just a little higher up the wrist. I lowered the first fret action to where it should be.
Cons
The soft case has a hole from the tip of the (dented) peg head poking through it. Two out of two fails tells me i need to look elsewhere for a travel banjo.
