It also stays open if desired so that you can close it when you are ready which is huge when you have multiple children you are trying to get up and down the stairs by yourself and dont want a gate automatically closing or that you have to hold open when both of your hands are full

My old gates though it advertised that it closes automatically was very unreliable and i had to slam the gate to get it closed which then often woke up my family

It would be nice if the gate was mobile to use at different locations at home or elsewhere when visiting perhaps munchkin may eventually sell the wall kit separately in order for the gate to be mobile
