Only issue is installation can be tricky. The latching brackets have to be lined up perfectly. Took my husband a long time to install.

The little guy a few months ago had a habit of shaking the thing with full force. Its very strong and looks nice. Nice and sturdy.

Cons

Once the bracket in the wall begins to loosen, the alignment for the lock is off and you are unable to use the lock at all. The dimensions at the top of our stairs must be just right for this gate not to work.

I have built all kinds of furniture, and this baby gate is by far the worst one to assemble.
