Simple to open for an adult you just pinch one of the squares by the two grey buttons on either side and the square releases from the anchor on the door

Not so simple to remove but heres what i tried with success use a hair dryer for at least 30 seconds and pry off latch from adhesive then use goo gone to remove any adhesive remaining on the surface
