Price
Although, one issue i have with it that i don't feel is excused by the price is how easily loosened the goose neck can get.
It works great and was half the price!
This exact item costs twice the price at my local music shops.
Competitiveness
Feels a little flimsy but has held up well and does the job for a great price.

I had to adjust it many times so it will stay put

Its not some fancy 50 mic pop

Therefore to judge against it for being cheaply made is a bit silly

The filter itself is already made out of material so flimsy even touching it might cause it to rip as it is

Its cheaply made but it has been doing me wonders so far

This pop filter has gone up by five bucks since i ordered it several days ago so theres probably no longer a compelling argument to be made for it on the basis of cost

At the moment the choice pretty much comes down to the heavyduty ones with the included hardware a locking bolt or screw for attaching the device to a standup mic stand or to those foam balls that in addition to not fitting over a mic as large as the blue yetl are better at filtering outside wind noises than the plosive and sibilant phonemes that wreck havoc with a hobbyists attempts to make professionalsounding live recordings at his home computer

Blues yetl mic is the closest ive come to capturing the fm sound of the highend shure mics used at the studio but without the pop filter the sound will distort unless in writing your script you can manage to avoid all plosives and sibilants
