The only thing that surprised us was the snug fit basically the cushioning material is fabricated to allow for different sizes so the instrument needs a push to fit in unlike guitar cases where the instrument all but falls into its place

The case is great i gave it four stars because the latches dont always latch the first time but i suspect that over time the latches will loosen up

Another small detail that is great just like my martin guitar case the latches are the type that loop over and then latch down so they absolutly will not accidently open
