Pros

Worked like a champ. It's sturdy and looks well made. Perfect for the job. Fantastic tool, good quality.

Cons

The image shows that it comes with end caps, but this is to imply that it crimps like similar cutters. The cut the shifter housings ok but the mangled the brake housings pretty bad.

Easy to use and sharp enough to cut right through small cable

They work well on coated cables for the specified gauge and are nice quality.

On the 8 failed tries, it cut the cable cleanly most of the way through, but left one or two strands uncut.

They would smash the cable and leave uncut stragglers.

Price

I just couldn't justify buying a cutter that i would maybe use once a year for 5 times the price.

For the price point they are spot one.

You will need pliers to install metal cable end caps but this costs like 1/3 the price of park tool.

Shipping

It was shipped in a package that had 4 spare rivets.

Amazon sent me a replacement cutter and this one had an overlap of more than 150/1000 inch - more than 1/8 in.

Packaging/appearance

It also showed up covered in oil/cutting fluid inside the package.

I have not read all the reviews, but i have seen a couple stating there were "extra rivets" in the packaging and they weren't sure why.

As others have stated, their directions on the package are hilarious.
