Pros
The spdt switches are very durable and easy to install. They come with tabbed flat washers, lock washers and two nuts per unit. They are great for coil taps or for turning on individual pickups.
Cons
Plastic used on these has a very low melting point, so it is very easy to damage the switch during soldering. Intermittent contact occurs significantly prior to switch being fully thrown. These are extremely fragile switches.

Wired it up so that when the switch is in its center position nothing is connected to anything else but flip it in one direction and you get connection configuration a and flip it in the other direction for connection configuration b
