Pros

All ar books so works great in my classroom. The best is that he is laughing, enjoying reading and wants to finish the book. The pictures are black & white and do come a bit dark.

Ordered for our 7 year old daughter's birthday. My 8 year old loves these books. She reads these while riding the bus, non stop.

Cons

This book contains hateful and inappropriate language for this age group. Kids are a sponge at this age and i can't even comprehend the intelligence of feeding them this garbage because it humors them. They are so full of negativity and bad language.

My seven-year-old loves these books but i'm my opinion they're absolute trash.

This set lacks all of the above and is headed to craigslist posthaste! Just pick a few at random and buy those instead. Buyer beware and verify goods upon receipt.

Main character hates everything and never seems to learn any lessons. The kids' investigation amounts to little more than speculation that the sub murdered (yes, murdered) the regular teacher.

They are 6 & 7 and are avid readers!

Great book series, 6 year old loves the books and 8 year old is able to read them.

I don’t recommend these books for 2nd grade or above the texts are super simple.

Only compliant is the "box" is flimsy paper and broke instantly.

These were a request by my niece and amazon had the best price &the full set.

They are exactly what i wanted and very affordable.

I wish i had more money, what a deal!

Buying the set made the books so much more affordable.

These just arrived yesterday and my son did not want to put the book down, he was having such a good time reading.
