I had to flatten them by putting them underneath a heavy box cause they came in smalll packaging all folded
Although they came folded over, was very easy to get them to lie flat.

If theyre capable of holding a glass in place on a surface that is angled like the drawing in the information manual implies then id expect that the mat itself wouldnt move easily on the surface either
