Pros & Cons
Pros
Excellent product and solution for a mother board lacking m. Drive. If your only available slot is an x1 slot, this is the adaptor for you. The quest is detected by the pc as usb3 and charges the device while using.
Cons
Device headline states it is x4, is actually x1. It was doa, maybe it works for some people but for me it wasn't usable. This item restricts the m2 speeds to 300 megabytes write speed. B&m not willing to buy an m.
Highlights
Quality
Acronis recognized the nvme and the cloning was successful.
The bios did not recognize it with the latest 8.
They don't tell you where the m.
Competitiveness
It does give me more storage in the old desktop and faster than the sata 3gb ports (i have 2 sata 6gb and 4 sata 3gb ports).
It does the job of repurposing old nvme drives.
