Pros & Cons
Pros
Nalgene's is far better than the coleman bottle jacket i got at rei 30+ years ago. Purchased this when planning to climb mt kilimanjaro. Washington (january 14th, 2018).
The handle on this is a little stretchy, btw. I find that it closes best with a nalgene bottle that does not have the loop connector. Was impressed with roominess.
The web strap is great for attaching the carrier upside down to straps on the outsides of my mountaineering pack. There is a loop that is perfect for putting a carabiner through and clipping it onto the side of the pack. The zipper tabs are a single p... Read More
This bottle sleeve covers and insulates the whole bottle. It insulates pretty well for what it is and doesn't let the condensation soak thru the sleeve. This one is thinner and less insulated than i expected but seems to do a decent job.
Cons
The lid is designed too small to fit over standard, clear 32 oz nalgene bottles. The lid retaining strap ends up being bent back and forth and now i have a crack in it. This is why they have cheeped out on the zipper.
The new one is a poor facsimile of its previous version that we bought 3 years ago. The inside, single-layer thermal-radiation reflective material maybe good for space-vacuum like conditions, but generally less useful here on earth where most of the h... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Again, this is the best sleeve out there for the 32oz.
Very good quality, fits the 32 oz bottle comfortably.
Nice but a little pricy for what is is and the quality
Would be 5 stars if not for the problem with the first one.
Price
Convenience vs weight vs esthetics vs cost.
Competitiveness
I use a biner on carry loop for clipping to belt, pack or shoulder strap.
Since i have a koozie for everything, i had to try this for my camping bottles.
I might opt for a hydro-flask and a sock.
Note lid will not close if an otf lid is on your 32oz bottle.

In the morning there was a very thin layer of ice when opening my nalgene widemouth bottles but this did not prevent me from drinking from them after breaking through with my fingers
