A very durable canteen. It nests properly with my usgi canteen cup and cook stand. I highly suggest that if you are looking to purchase canteens, these are the ones.

But the one flaw it has is if it hits the ground hard enough upside down the neck of the bottle cracks every time and it forever leaks after that

I cant say for sure as i dont know the detailed requirements the military has for the canteen and there are rigorous tests that go into it that the nalgene hasnt been put through as far as im aware

For instance is it flame retardant will it melt easily is it uv resistant does it meet standards for impact resistance etc
