Pros
Heavy walled bottle design compared to other stainless steel bottle. Good kit but pricey. Pricing is more consistent with the kleen kanteen but when the nalgene was actually a dollar less i decided to go with this one.
These nalgene water bottles used to be made and probably are still made by guyot designs. They work well with canteen holders from condor, maxpedition or any other maker. Canteen and canteen cup best combo ever.

Cons
It is not the straight-sided 38 oz as pictured and advertised. Is tapered toward the bottom and not straight walled.
The very top part appears to be fused on to the rest. Who knows what chemicals are leaching from this.

Large opening allows for other items or food to be carried in the bottle.
It used to be printed right on the bottle.
I like the way the cap retainer strap can be slipped off and on the neck of the bottle.

Double walled vacuum insulated bottles should not be used to boil water

Additionally both the tapered and straight walled bottles can be used over a fire but both with be susceptible to tipping over since they are both tall and narrow
