It perfectly nests inside a gsi stainless steel cup. The narrowing of the base also allows it to fit into a 24 oz stanley adventure cook set.

Cons

Not the straight-sided 38 oz as pictured and advertised. Received the non-tapered one. Bottle hold only 28 ounce and not 32 ounce.

The very top part appears to be fused on to the rest. Who knows what chemicals are leaching from this.

Quality

Great water bottle that i have been using for 3 weeks now.

I like how the cap is attached and how easy it is to remove the retaining cord when washing or using in the fire.

The nylon cord holding the lid on is completely detachable so will not get melted in the fire.

This weld bead has not been cleaned well on mine and you can see the black residue in the video i uploaded.

Price

I don't mind this, because i decided to take a gamble for the price and would have been happy with either one.

Shipping

Customer service was fantastic and the shipping was super fast.

Came fast and on time and lives up to its name for camping and back packing!

Packaging/appearance

Came with straight walls and had a slight dent in the upper part but,.

Third, it came with a nice dent in the top.

Competitiveness

If you're worried about receiving a knock-off you can buy straight from nalgene's website for roughly the same price.

I don't think there is a better option on amazon.
