Pros
The pouch with the gel fits nicely into a pocked in the belt-i wear jogging pants that allow me to wear it around the house-unlike when i have the heating pad attached to my hip-am very happy with the product itself & the concept.
I have severe chronic pain in multiple places but the worst is hip pain from bursitis. I'll be having hip surgery soon, so hopefully permanent relief is on its way.
Good quality, very large unit offers hot or cold compresses. Measurement before purchasing is important! Love it.
Cons
The idea is good but execution is not as good. The gel pack gets no where near hot enough to provide heat, on its own or through the provided belt pack. The waist wrap is useless.

Price
Just what i needed for hip pain at an affordable price.
I bought this for my father because he has hip pain and he says it helps a great deal.
Packaging/appearance
It fits my hot water bottle (which i use as an ice pack instead) perfectly, as well as keep the pack it came with in place.
Like many other reviewers, i wish this came with an additional ice pack.
Also, that gel pack is heavy, so maneuvering it on your own is a bit awkward at first.
Competitiveness
For hip bursitis you get much better wraparound contact from the hip ice pack sold by coolrelief either here on amazon or direct from them.
Bought another vendor's ice bags that were almost the same size and so had 3 different bags to alternate in the freezer.
Similar items i looked at did not have a removable gel-pack and i don't have freezer space for anything larger than the gel-pack.
