Pros

I love the basket which you just sit sideways on top and it drains vegetables etc. Would heartily recommend. The advantages for long pasta and having it's own draining basket are obvious.

But i have found long dry pastas like spaghetti can slip through the mesh and because it has a small base you are basically boiling a tall column of water and it takes longer compared to a standard pot
