Great idea however am very disappointed for the poor workmanship. Lid stays open approximately 1”. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship.

The product has held up well over the last few months with a quality construction.
It was great quality and easy to refill.
Unfortunately i had to throw it away because moisture seeped through the bottom and ruined the wood with mold.
My guinea pig crawled into the feeder and urinated in there the first day!
Price
I wanted an extra one to replace a hay bag that was torn by my rabbits and this was a good alternative for the price.
Competitiveness
I bought one of these from etsy for twice the price, but the one from etsy had thicker wood (1/2 or 1/3 thicker) and taller.

It can tip back if you have a spirited rabbit like mine so it may be helpful to have it lean up against something sturdy

It is a little messy when you need to fill the hay and i do notice that the top part of where you are supposed to put the hay is extremely skinny
