The attach solidly and have a silicone “shoe” on them and a ballbearing to keep the plate from wiggling.
On that one the outer edges were sharply angled to make for an uncomfortable hold over long periods unless you had a handle installed.
The ease of use has to do with the solid build and tool free attachments of the camera lens templates.

The price isn’t terrible as i’ve seen cases that do less for the phone and charge far more.
