Pros & Cons
Pros
Remote control is clutch especially for self-filming! The remote is super useful because i can control the color and brightness as i'm standing in place on-camera. While the color temperature change may not be readily detectable to my * eyes, i can se... Read More
The construction is surprisingly top-notch. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for sometimes. Build quality is sturdy and made with a metal casing.
At the higher kelvin degrees, the light indeed moves towards the blue daylight balance but there's an underlying green/cyan tint that can't be corrected for. Moving down the kelvin scale, things warm us as you'd expect but again it gets off balanced w... Read More
This light is superb. I just hope it keeps starting. Another winner from neewer. Superb, awesome.
It's a really beautiful glow with controllable emission. The brightness is both a pro and a con as you will definitely want to have some diffusion on-hand to bring it down.
Highlights
Quality
The quality of light output is super smooth.
My only gripe is the build quality of the remote that comes with it.
Direct led light panels create much harsher shadows and require a diffuser of soft-box.
My softboxes use 5x 60 watt florescent bulbs for each lamp and these neewer light panels are way brighter and consume less energy.
Price
Great price on a really useful light.
Despite this being a really inexpensive light, it's very well built & professional.
I paid $30 more at least than what used to be the going price.
Get them while you can at this price they will be in short supply.
Packaging/appearance
Packing and storage is also well done.
The unit comes with the light itself, manual and power adapter packaged in a cover protected by foam.
Competitiveness
These light panels also match the color of my 5500k bank lights better than tmy florescent softboxes and supposedly the floresc... Read More
