My expectations were low but this strobe is actually nice and i would feel good taking it on a photo sessionthe only things i dont like is that it does not have a fan so it gets quite warm and it does not beep when the flash recycles

The modeling bulb does get quite hot but this is the case with any external strobe and the higher the wattage the hotter the unit gets

Because the unit charges up the power in advance you have to discharge the unit after changing intensity for it to discharge at the particular intensity level

Or spend 4x the money and get bullet proof strobes if thats what is more important
