For aps-c cameras it’s great value for a dual function ultra compact lens kit.
So as a macro - yes it worked, and for the price tag it could provide some nice images.
Obviously, there will be concessions when buying a $50 adapter that does wide/macro over a $500 dedicated wide angle lens or macro lens.

This isn't restricted to just the sony camera - you can buy an adapter very cheaply on here to stick this on a lot of other lenses.
The results may not match up to the quality of a sony 16mm aps prime or short zoom lens but the cost of this neewer option may ... Read More

This isnt restricted to just the sony camera you can buy an adapter very cheaply on here to stick this on a lot of other lenses

Like any other adapter like this there is some degradation of image quality you do get a slightly wider field of view but you will get soft corners chromatic aberrations and some fisheye distortion as well

I though this gave me a sort of toy camera vibe this is not the sort of lens i would generally use its not going to replace a real wide angle lens

For macro shots it does a credible job but its limited to a very narrow range and you have to remove it if you want to take photos that are further away than that distance
