Highlights
Quality
I’m really liking this neewer gear, it’s sturdy yet easy to set up
The build quality is impressive too, feeling sturdy and well-constructed, which gives me confidence in its durability.
Even with all of the support ribs that you have to click into place, set up is less than a minute.
As with other softboxes, two diffusion cloths easily velcro into place.

At the time of this review it was priced at $120 with a $30 coupon, making it a good deal at $90 for the size and quality you receive.

Competitiveness
I've tried many modifiers from many manufacturers, and even other older ones from neewer, but i think they really did it with this one.

However there are a couple key differences besides the price this one is made with nylon fabric has a 34lightweight nylon alloy34 bowens mount whereas the sf is made from oxford cloth and has an aluminum alloy bowens mount

Also the case is different on the ns which is just thin nylon and opens with a drawstring as opposed to the sf which has a thick padded case with a zipper

I would say if you are looking for a bit of a more ruggeddurable overall package i would go with the sf with the oxford cloth and padded case however if you are looking for the lightest option the ns is the newer version of the two and is over a half pound lighter more than that if you include the case as well as well as 10 cheaper

It also seems to have wider coverage than the aputure light dome ii my only other reference is quite light for the size and is relatively easy to setup and tear down
