The app works like it's supposed to.

Comparison between neewer rgb 530, gvm 800d, and gvm 50rsbuild quality was very similar for all three.

I haven’t had any issues with the app as far as troubles connecting or losing connection.

Price

The price was the best i've seen for a decent quality instrument.

Packaging/appearance

(i assume due to the checkerboard placement of the leds on the neewer.

Banding was visible, especially in shadows from the 800d.

Competitiveness

Throw a little diffusion like a softbox on it and you can even use it as a key.

I have other gvm products (bowens mount cob lights, motorized slider) and really like them, but they missed the mark on these lights.

I have heard good things about neewer products so when i was in the market for a 1' x 1' rgb led panel i jumped on these.

The gvms both use columns but the 50rs is considerably largerbarn doors the neewer barn doors are metal not that the material makes a difference to me but they were bent at the hinge to allow them to open completely flat
