Pros & Cons
Pros
It is solid, with no wobbles or looseness. It feels like it is fluid-dampened, which is great.
Cons
The tiny mechanism and plastic knob are not up to the task. The knob to lock the pan function is plastic. Don’t waste money on cheap photo gear.
Highlights
Quality
This product appears to be very well made.
Moves smoothly, and it moves slow enough where its easy to get precise and able to lock on firmly with my payload of 6 pounds
Pd tripod has no panning function that makes it impossible for wide landscape stitching shots for me.
On my previous model that lock adj was all the way in meaning the actual threaded part of the locking screw just completely wore down.
Price
It’s a 10th of the price of an outdoorsmans and worked surprisingly well.
Given the price i may just buy another to have on hand.
I looked at the price and thought what the heck, might as well try it.
Competitiveness
The neewer pan sys is about the same as other designs on amazon and ebay.
It doesn't look like the 1/4" screw can be replaced with a 3/8", so i will be looking for another brand that had the 3/8" connector.
I ended up buying this one after the last one i had of a different brand the lock for the pan sys stopped working.
