Other than that nightmare, picture looks pretty decent. The image clarity, backlight and size all make viewing my subject a lot easier.
It’s no ninja v (my other external monitor), but it is definitely worth every penny i spent! Way better than my camera's built in screen. I have several pieces of neewer gear and all are great.
Cons
The battery life is fine, but when a battery is plugged in, a constant red led will be lit which continuously drains the battery slowly. The description says batteries and charger not included.
The image appears smeared and loses some of the resolution. It cuts off pixels from every hdmi signal i've tested it with. It offers no exposure tools, and has a primitive menu and button system.
The build quality and design is far superior. The instructions are poor and sparse.
Hdmi to micro usb cable broke on me after just using it twice. I have to click the mode button twice, to go into av mode, and then back into the regular camera mode.

This monitor required no additional regulation to work straight off the battery
I am amazed at the bad reviews for no included battery or power source.

However it is an excellent monitor for the price, lots of adjustments and features.
Would have paid $500 for this monitor 20yrs.
For the money, it was a good buy.
Had a coupon that set the price to $69.
Packaging/appearance
Packaging is great the little box it came in served as a travel case inside my field bag until i purchased a padded storage case.

For the price you cant ask for more this item does the job and nicelyunfortunately it is not a wide view and does not support it this may be ok for some but not good for others
