    I have seen comments from a variety of people on different place including social networks that they have a problem with these kinds of adapters not holding their flash units firmly enough and that they fall off the holder

    I have found as long as i center it to where the flash and trigger are just on top of the adjustment screw when i tighten it then there are no problems

    Even if i unscrew the little screw that holds the umbrella in place there is a small metal plate in the hold which is supposed to grip the rod of your umbrella when you insert it in the hold and before you tighten that screw

    That little plate thing is so darn tight it makes it very very hard to get the umbrella in there

    I eventually unscrewed a tiny little screw that holds it in the adapter and took that guide plate out all together
