The bolts are so loose that when fully extended the ends of the rails can move almost a full centimeter. It's so wobbly that you're literally better off shooting handheld.

And second is to be able to do close up and or still life by adjusting the camera just a little bit and leaving the tripod in the same place

This head works ok for two axis movements in macro photo i would like the screw mechanism could have been smoother i can feel some jumps while traversing and the action seems a little tight

Ive actually removed the leftright base plate and adjustment because all i want to do is move toward and away from the subject

If youre using a ball head or another type of head where you have to support it to tighen it down theres slop

I found that its not my tripod or any other source but the connection between the inout and leftright movement
