Pros & Cons
Pros
This is sufficient for most applications auto, motorcycle, etc. Use available on line diy resources.
Bought this thing to measure pinion bearing pre-load on my sterling 10. Getting readings with 5%.
Cons
Don't waste your money on this wrench. The gearing mechanism that controls forward and backwards broke right off so now it only goes one way. Now i have to pay to have them drilled and rethreaded.
The metric scale is 2 nm per turn. This is a piece of garbage.
Highlights
Quality
Easy to use good feel nice case the clicks you hear for adjustments and a nice crisp snap-click when you hit your torque set
Tool is sturdy and looks to be well made, including reading "0" at rest.
Electrical panels and circuit breakers stipulate tightening requirements in "inch-pounds," which are one-twelfth of "foot-pound... Read More
Not trusting the clicker lately after it failed on one difficult bolt.
Price
I had it tested by my dealer and it was on the money out of the box.
Was kind of excessive for what might be a single use, but renting one was gong to be the same price.
This is a cost effective way to be able to do both things.
Packaging/appearance
This wrench was smaller that i thought when i saw it pictured, but that is fine by me for what i am going to use it for.
Competitiveness
The quality on this smaller range torque wrench is much better than a similar one i bought at an auto parts store.

Ill save the click type for stuff closer to its midrange

First used it to torque my bicycle headset bearing preload tightening bolt to 20 inlb which seemed to take all the play out of the bearing even though 27 to 35 inlb recommended

Cannot attest to absolute calibration but for such a simple tool no reason to think that it would be offwith only a well know beambending equation steel youngs modulus and beam length and diameter geometry involved

When installing new pinionand or bearings you need this tool to gauge the amount of bearing preload upon installation

The case itself is not the best which isn’t good for a tool such as this since it can mess with the calibration if not properly stored or shipped

This torque wrench is a bit smaller than i expected

Should’ve read the length better
