The only criticism which isnt the fault of the keyboard is most of the apps on the samsung tv ks 7xxx series dont support keyboard input qwerty and you still have to use the cursor keys to select the letters which is annoying

Happily a quick sudo apt install bluetooth blueman followed by sudo enable bluetooth sudo reboot and a big blue bluetooth icon appeared in the system tray

Pairing with the keyboard was then just a matter of turning the keyboard on pressing fnf1 and following the add new device prompts visible after clicking on the bluetooth system tray icon
