The gun is large and heavy but he’s able to use it and enjoys playing with it. My god daughter is 8 and loves this gun. My 6 year old loves it and it is easy enough for him to load and shoot.
The ripchain shoots so many darts before needing to be reloaded. It also has nerf’s trademark slam-fire function, which is the ability to hold down the trigger and shoot a dart with every pump of the priming handle.
Ripchain has a 25-dart ammo capacity, which is the largest capacity in the zombiestrike line. The new ammo chain is more rigid, slightly slimmer, and less prone to wiggling around due to it’s design using a metal pin in between each chamber on the cha... Read More

The standard average velocity of a nerf elite blaster is 70 fps so this second ripchain i purchased is exactly at that average while the first one scored an average of 67 fps

To elaborate the old ammo belt does not advance with the prime because it is too tight in it’s place for the rotation mechanism to move

This proprietary ammo belt works but it is surprisingly inefficient since the ratcheting mechanism does not seem to be able to keep up it’s rotation when you are priming it too quickly

This means that the ability to use the slamfire function is forcibly slowed down to a normal firing pace aka fail

You can actually feel a “bump” feedback sensation accompanied by a “tong” sound reporting that the blaster is now primed
