Pros

Great beef jerky. Just cut a sirloin with my meat slicer. Comes with everything needed to dehydrate practically everything.

Well packaged in original boxes. Free standard shipping. Still works like a champ.

It is a little louder than my last one. It is noisier than expected so we set it in another room. I wish it had a timer that shuts off the appliance when you set it to end.

Cons

Payment was refunded and return shipping paid. All of this within two weeks of purchasing it. Received the fd-1010p instead.

The sudden, uncontrolled heating to such a high temperature is alarming. I assume it's a blown fuse, but i have no idea why a fuse would blow after only 7 or 8 uses.

I'm really torn by this unit.

This causes liquids to run toward the outside edge and spill into the bowels of the machine, where it is impossible to clean out. They are still usable, but i am concerned they may not be at some point if they continue to deform. It seems to dry foods... Read More

I sent it back because the lid is not what is advertised, it is very flimsy and not the same as the one i already have.

The unit turns on when plugged into the wall and turns off when i unplug it.

After doing much research, this was the best choice for the price

I love this machine - it has paid for itself many times over.

Tried a cheaper dehydrator - waste of money (and food)!

Then the market had kale, spinach, and chard on sale.
