Pros & Cons
Pros
This is one of the best purchases i have ever made for food prep. Need to rotate racks halfway through. Perfect starter machine.
The machine is easy and rather self-explanatory. The timer is a life saver.
This dehydrator dehydrates meat great. I make jerky in this and it works well.
Cons
All racks were warped coming out of the box. When i'm drying herbs, it's almost impossible to get everything together and fitting correctly. The drying trays were all warped and undulating.
Highlights
Quality
Quiet and easy to assemble and disassemble.
This is one of the best purchases i have ever made for food prep.
Adhesive used for the label is useless, it can't withstand the heat generated and slips off during use.
I ordered this dehydrator and two extra trays (6 total), washed it up, and put it to use.
Price
Definitely a great dryer for the price!
This was a great price for me to get this digital model to replace it.
I like the expandability even though additional trays are a bit costly for what they are.
Highly recommend spending the little extra $ to get this dehydrator rather than one of the cheaper alternatives.
Shipping
I ordered extra trays so now i can do in decent amount of food for the time and effort.
Not sure if this chipped off during shipping, but it didn't appear to be an issue during use (2nd photo)3).
Competitiveness
The other one had the manual knob adjustment but otherwise it's identical.
The nesco is quieter, more efficient, and has a smaller footprint on my countertop.

It was the model with the manual dial and no timer and what i hated about that model was it could only be turned off by unplugging it and i had to remember to unplug it at the right time

You can leave it plugged in and turn it on and off with a button and you can set the digital timer to turn it off for you
