Pros

The only complaint i have for this it's too good. This machine is solidly built and makes nespresso as good as any other machine. It’s also less expensive if that makes any difference to you or not. The only thing missing is a button.

The variety of pods that are compatible with this series of machine is overwhelmingly greater than those that arecompatible with the vertuo line. The more pods you buy the cheaper they are. Works perfectly even with the amazon pods.

Cons

Just very cheaply made, poor quality. Too bad the quality of the newer nespresso is not as good. I understand it is a small appliance and those fail frequently, but i expected to get more than a year out of it.

Each time you lift the lever to add or remove a capsule, it drips water. It's constantly dripping water, even when it hasn't been used in more than 24 hours. There was just a very thin layer of foam on top of each brewed cup & tasted watered down.... Read More

There are tons of videos (all useless) on youtube on how to fix this problem. Phone support is as useless as the youtube videos.

Espresso button is 10 seconds and lungo gets to 10 seconds when it has been heated up, don’t understand why

We also bought the reusable capsules to help with the recycling issue (and cost).

It was a little pricey, but it also was the cheapest bundle i found at the time for this exact machine.

Worth every bit of money we paid!

Competitiveness

I like the nespresso original line a lot more than the vertuo line and this machine is so simple.

I tried a different one made by nespresso, and i kept having leakage problems, but this one works like a charm.

I prefer the original nespresso because you can buy pods from anyone (not just nespress brand like the vertuo).

I've used both nespresso pods (which i think are the best) and other brands such as peets.
