Pros
De'longhi nespresso lattissima makes beautiful coffee, is easy to set up and clean. Less fiddly overall than using a regular espresso maker and milk frother.
Once the descaling pipe is plugged in the machine programmes itself. I suspect that a lot of the negative reviews stem from folk who would do well to observe the old rtfm maxim.
Cons
I realise this is likely to be one bad review amongst many positive ones. Lowering the setting made no difference.
The coffee spout constantly drips and there isn't a removable drip tray to catch it in. It spits coffee everywhere bar the cup &. The instructions on all the * aren't clear and the amounts of milk / coffee it spits out are totally random.

Using a high quality coffee can help a lot anyway.
So you need to fiddle with the best pods suitable for you.
Packaging/appearance
The packaging is very nice but the milk is a little warm fast service
Competitiveness
I use it at least twice a day and i normally descale it once a month or every other month with descaling capsules.
To descale it, i bought a descaling kit from local shop and it worked a lot cheaper than the nespresso one.
Enforced purchase as previous unit failed after just 3 years leaving me with a pile of nepresso pods !

Obviously milk goes stale quicklyand it is essential to clean the milk related lattissima components regularly at least every two days

Blockages can occur if you take your eye off the ball which can be tricky to fix

Descaling of the machine is needed about every 2 months not a long task but the nespresso descaling fluid is expensive other cheaper descaling products appear to work just as well

A decent drink ought really to be at least 65 celsius and this machine does not seem to come up with the goods unless you warm your cup mug up first run some water through the machine to raise the temperature of the water used for your coffee and also if milk is being used run some milk through first so it’s fully hot when being used for your coffee

There could be many reviews stating various problems like difficult to clean or coffee not consistent quantity etc
