Pros & Cons
Pros
Firmware update check came up right after the upgrade. Fix is to manually power-cycle the unit. Been spinning for about an hour now.

Vlan management is great. You can rate limit specific ports which is really nice throttling an access point for the kids or guest vlan) not really something you can leave out, if you were going to use this for a business. The tasman drive competes wit... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Quality 4 port poe well built switch
Gets the job done with the simplest installation
Unfortunately some amazon vendors send open boxes with the wrong brick.
But if you stick within its power budget, you should be fine -- assuming your switch came with the correct brick.
Price
A very good poe switch at a very good price
Competitiveness
I've been a fan of netgear's unmanaged switches for a long time.
I have tested this poe switch with everything from tplink ap's to cameras.

Qos settings are kind of pointless but you can rate limit specific ports which is really nice eg throttling an access point for the kids or guest vlancons not really something you can leave out if you were going to use this for a business

Anyone with enough working knowledge of netgear products could probably hack this in minutes if it was unsecured

It does not appear to support mac address sticky even if you lock down the other ports

Although nice to have manageability where poe is involved this was a simple deployment and i dont think manageability would have been worth extra money

The switchs management interface will not work on a tagged vlan thus i had to set vlan 4000 as the native vlan on the port to my router otherwise it became unmanageable
