Pros & Cons
Pros
The lm120 is a serious bargain for anyone looking for an lte modem versus a hotspot. I'm still pulling speeds around 50 - 60 mbps which is great considering this is a pre-pay sim and i'm not on some crazy post-pay plan. The speed is about 10-40 mbps d... Read More
All the necessary cabling is in the box, including a short length of cat5. Picked it up from an amazon locker in town and walked right into verizon store without even taking it out of the box. Easy to setup and use.
The signal is great. The rest of the router is top notch. Strong processor. Paired with a tp-link ac1750 archer a7, it is stable as a primary internet connection.
Cons
Netgear lm1200 is a wifi/cell 4g router that claims to seamlessly failover to cell when wifi is lost. It supports cellular wan but would not recognize a usb dongle or mifi (usb tether) the nighthawk app that come with it is helpful to get started but ... Read More
Returned after a week of dancing around it with shaman network guy dance. Loot of wasted rime, efforts and nerves.
Device very unstable. Have to physically reset it. Exchanged for a new one per recommendation from netgear support.
Highlights
Quality
I bought an external outside antenna with it, but i've not installed it because i'm happy with the performance.
The unit connects reliably with the tower and seems to achieve good speeds.
My spectrum/verizon sim works perfectly but the plan throttles severely after 5 gb used up, however this has nothing to do with the modem.
It doesn't seem to work well with an itena along with the 4g modem.
Packaging/appearance
We now have wifi living out in the country!
Competitiveness
Bridge mode can differ from other carriers, such at a t-mobile card i tried worked just fine in bridge mode.
Currently using a $5/mo tmobile sim (500mb/mo data then 128 kb/s speed) to provide basic internet for a nest thermostat and dig... Read More
I also tested this with t-mobile as well specifically in bridge mode, but still could not connect in.
Just inserted a t-mobile sim card and plugged it in.

The only way that would work is if you dont plan on watching any netflix or videos through that device

The data simply adds up too fast and google fi or any other carrier will reduce your data speeds even on unlimited because unlimited is still limited after 50 gigs on google fi

Example i used this modem for 3 hours of watching youtube and surfing the web and that used up nearly 9 gigs of data

Times that by 31 days and you get roughly 280 gigs and that means within 6 days you would usey 54 gigs and google fi would throttle your speeds making this device kind of useless
