Pros

The pvid table and the vlan port assignments are on completely separate pages requiring navigation between the two when tweaking the settings. Port 5 is intended for uplink (to your router or to another switch) the web interface is nice, but some of u...  Read More

Bar none this is the cheapest managed poe switch i have been able to find. W capacity is more than enough to power some poe cams.

Netgear gb ethernet switch. Works perfectly. W per port. Worth the extra few bucks.

Well built sturdy all metal casing. Sturdy metal casing, feels solid. I find myself running a fan on this because it gets toasty.

Cons

It's reasonable to conclude that there might be some nefarious telemetry going on, as there is little reason to deny opting out otherwise. If you dont care about the insight app connectivity then this is a decent 2. It becomes no longer reachable over...  Read More

Price

Management- the fact that its actually manageable at this price.

Tldr: best bang for buck for a managed poe switch that you can find.

The other thing that costs this a half star is the ridiculous external power supply.

Most commercial switches i have had quoted come out to about $30 a port.

Shipping

Got the netgear was able to setup and login quickly.

Switch was delivered promptly and just plain works as expected.

:) received it same day which made it much better for me.

Competitiveness

For those of you who much prefer putty to a web browser, that simply isn't an option.

This does what it does for less money than similar products from the "big names" -- 802.
